Near the town, the beach is lined with a historical promenade and beach chalets. To the north is Filey Brigg, which has some good rock pools to explore.</p>
<p>There are a plethora of facilities available, as there are at all good British seaside resorts, from deckchair and beach hut hire to a first aid post as well as the cafes and shops.</p>
<p>Lying 7 miles south of Scarborough and 10 miles north of Bridlington, the beach is popular with windsurfers and sailors, and ,when the waves are right, surfers.</p>
