Reighton Sands is a wide expanse of sandy beach on the North Yorkshire coast, and is part of the Filey Bay area. Backed by cliffs access to the beach is through the caravan park of the same name. Visitors are free to use the car parks on the cliff top and walk down to the beach without being paid up visitors to the caravan park.

The nearest facilities are the caravan parks, and it may be possible to purchase a day pass to use them.

The beach is popular with residents of the nearby Haven Holiday park.

Set in a magnificent bay on the Yorkshire Coast, the beach in Cayton Bay is a magnet for the summer crowd, but whatever the time of year, Cayton Bay is a beautiful part of our coast. It is a favourite with surfers, bird watchers and fossil hunters as well as those who just want to relax and admire this area of unspoilt natural beauty.

Also of note are the WWII fortifications that still stand.

Scarborough South Bay beach is a large sandy bay on the North Yorkshire coast with good facilities, child friendly amenities and is popular with families. Towards the castle headland there is a working inner harbour with a small fishing fleet and outer harbour for pleasure boats and yachts. Boat trips around the bay or along the coast can be taken from the outer harbour.

The historic Spa lies at the south end of the beach which holds live entertainment and houses the famous Spa Orchestra during the summer season.To the north along the beach there are a range of amusements, cafes and restaurants and some public toilets. Traditional seaside stalls sell traditional delights such as Scarborough rock and fudge.

Scarborough North Bay is a large sandy family beach on the coast of North Yorkshire, this is a very popular beach during the summer months and a visit is highly recommended. The facilities, located on the northern part of the beach front, are excellent, having been recently upgraded by Scarborough council. The beach front stretches from the Sea Life Centre in the north to the Castle mound. There is a designated water sports area and an area for bathing manned by lifeguards during the summer months. To the North, near the Sea life centre there is a large area of rockpools, though care needs to be taken with their exploration as the seawall prevents a quick escape should the tide come in.

The beach is cleaned regularly during the bathing season and there are litter bins on the beach. There are also dog bins on the beach and a dog walking area. Dogs are not allowed on the north half of the beach.

Parking is at least a 5 minute walk away from the beach so be prepared to carry all your beach gear.

The waters at Scarborough North Bay are Blue Flag rated and superb for bathing in.

Filey beach is a  long sandy beach set in a wide bay. Near the town, the beach is lined with a historical promenade and beach chalets. To the north is Filey Brigg, which has some good rock pools to explore.

There are a plethora of facilities available, as there are at all good British seaside resorts, from deckchair and beach hut hire to a first aid post as well as the cafes and shops.

Lying 7 miles south of Scarborough and 10 miles north of Bridlington, the beach is popular with windsurfers and sailors, and ,when the waves are right, surfers.
